The Pride Parenting Certificate of Diversity Practices (PP-CODP) is an accreditation from Pride Parenting for organisations that provide inclusive and LGBTQ+-affirming family-building services. This accreditation is awarded to fertility clinics, adoption agencies, and legal professionals who meet specific criteria to ensure they can provide high-quality, evidence-based support for LGBTQ+ families. To get accredited, organisations must pass a series of questions demonstrating their commitment to embedding diversity and inclusion in their practices and policies.

About the accreditation:

The PP-CODP is recognised as the “gold standard” for LGBTQ+-affirming family and parenting practices.

It is an evidence-based certification verified by the community.

Accredited organisations become part of a network of “Advocates” that includes professionals from major fertility and adoption organisations.

This certificate serves as a seal of trust for LGBTQ+ families and their allies.

How organisations can qualify:

Organisations must have a genuine commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ parents and their children.

They need to actively embed diversity and inclusion into their programs, policies, and content.

Specific types of organisations that can apply include fertility clinics, surrogacy agencies, adoption and fostering agencies, and family law professionals.

Organisations must pass a series of questions to demonstrate their qualifications.

How the accreditation helps LGBTQ+ families:

The accreditation helps families identify providers who are knowledgeable and supportive of their specific needs, such as surrogacy, donor conception, or adoption.

It helps families avoid providers that may be inexperienced or use “pinkwashing” to appear inclusive without genuine commitment.

The certificate signifies that an organisation has been vetted and is a trusted resource for LGBTQ+ family building.
